Favorite "oldie"

February 27-
M*A*S*H is one of my favorite TV shows. I catch the reruns on the Hallmark channel while eating dinner after work most nights.

Crazy Weather

February 26-
Today we had a little bit of every kind of weather - snow, rain, wind, and sunshine. I intended to get a picture of a rainbow but instead I ended up with this cool picture of clouds.

Post Office Patriotism

February 25-
A quick photo at the post office today.

Garbage Day

February 24-
Tuesday morning is garbage day. 'Nuff said.

Gorcery shopping

February 23-
A trip to the grocery store today. Notice the combination of canvas and plastic bags. I always forget to get the canvas bags back in the car to use when I go to the store.

Rain, rain

February 22-
Today was a rainy dreary day. I ventured out for a minute to capture this shot of the rain drops in the puddle.

Successfully finishes

February 21-
I finished up my taxes and emailed them in today. I am getting a refund this year that I should have deposited in my account by March 6th. Whoo Hoo!

Gotta love a sale

February 20-
Gotta love a sale. Mom picked up eight 12 packs of Pepsi for me and droppped them off at work for me yesterday.

Spare Room

February 19-
My spare/guest room have become a junk room. I started making a little progess on cleaning and organizing it today.

Chocaloate cravings

February 18-
Sometimes you just gotta have some chocolate! A quick batch of brownies from a box is a sure fire cure out of a box.

Pop tops

February 17-
I have had this cute little cardborad container for saving pop tops forever. When it gets full I send them off to Ronald McDonald House. What a great charity!

What a difference

Febraury 16-
Just 10 hours later the construction team had made this much progress. The crew worked 36 hours straight so we were ready to open the store again after only being closed for a day and a half.

Construction time

February 15-
Tomight was the start of our remodel construction at work. What a mess!

Whats on your fridge?

February 14-
Whats on the fron of your fridge? The front of mine is covered with magnetic schedules for baseball games.

Spring is coming....

February 13-
Look at all these birds visiting my backyard! Spring must be on its way.

Yum!

February 12-
Another food picture. I made a batch of Sour Cream Enchaladas today so I could take a picture of them for a recipe swap I am doing. After having dinner I put the rest in the freezer for future after work dinners.

Colorful stuff

Febraury 11-
A bunch of leftover scraps from recent scrapbook LO's - future cards in the making!

Reading Material

February 10-
My newest scrapbook magazines - inspiration!

Comfy Spot

February 9-
The spot on the couch where I spent almost all of last week. A blanket, pillows, my laptop, and a view of the TV I had all I needed.

The Good Stuff

February 8-
When I went to the doctor's the other day I got a combination of antibiotics, steroids, cough syrup with codeine, and an inhaler. It all worked together to start making me feel like a human being again. I am almost back to 100% again.

My furbaby

February 7-
Just a quick picture of my furbaby Nala chillin'.

Mail call

February 6-
Since I have been sick all week this is the only place I have been out of the house except the doctors office yesterday. The nice thing about the community mail boxes is that if you don'k pick up for a couple of days everything is nice and secure, you don't have to worry about theft.

Off to the doctors..

February 5-
Well I have continued to get sicker and sicker all week - I haven't been this sick in over ten years. I ended up getting chest x-rays, a steroid shot, and two nebualizer treatments at the office and then got four different prescriptions to help me get rid of this crud!

Tax Season

February 4-
i bought my software and have started working on my taxes. I finished my OR state taxes and filed them already. I still have to finish up the federal one though.

Vampire stuff

February 3-
Another purchase from Costco last week. The series of "Sookie Sackhouse" books. I am enjoying reading them!

They pile up

February 2-
I pay 99.99% of my bills online so I always have these piles of bills just hanging around waiting to be shredded or filed or something!

Cold and Flu Season

February 1-
Cold and Flu season is here - ick! I stopped by the store on the way home from work to pick up some supplies for my runny nose and stuffy head.

Month End

January 31-
The end of the month means full inventory counts of everything in the store every month. It has gotten easier over the last few years with this little gadget called a Telzon {inventory recorder}.

Refill Time

January 30-
It's time to refill the dog food container in the kitchen. The big bags from Costco are much cheaper and I don't have to buy it as often but man I hate carrying the bag in from the car and dumping it in the container! (That's why it's been in my car for five days until it was absolutely necessary)

Altered Cigar Box

January 29-
This is a scrappy little project I finally finished up today. My little nephew Colby when he was born in June. I used a lot of QK items on here and used it for one of my entries to try out for a SB Store Design Team.

Dishes dishes dishes

January 28-
My dishwasher hasn't been working for at least nine months or more... so seeing dishes in the rack next to the sink (or in the sink for that matter) is an every day sight. Hopefully soon I will have a picture of a brand new dishwasher!

What's for dinner...

January 27-
Mmmmm I love fresh steamed broccoli with lots of cheese! After adding some baked chicken breasts and rice-a-roni and I had complete dinner not out of a box cooked in a microwave!

Mmmm carrot cake!

January 26-
Yes you read that right - carrot cake. That is what this yummy candle is from Spokandle is. It smells like cream cheese frosting when it is burning.
On another note, I spent some time on this photo and took it in manual practicing on my exposure and appeture settings. I shouldn't have bumped the ISO up so much though as it turned out a little grainy.

Sunday with mom and dad

January 25-
Mom and dad came up from Walla Walla and we had lunch at IHOP and then went shopping at Costco.

Tumbleweeds

January 24-
Ugh! Every time the wind comes up I have another bunch of these in my yard to clean up!

Thor

January 23-
Thor is the little raven that sits on my dashboard. He makes me smile and remember my time in London this past summer.

Pit Stop

January 22-
This is the little mini mart just down the street from my house. It is the perfect spot for when you need that one little item for the recipe you are making!

Inauguration Day

January 20-
I cheated - I didn't actually take this picture but it is a photo of a moment that I wanted to include in my 365. (thanks to Katiebug from 2Peas for the pic) I didn't actually get to see the swearing in of the new president because I was at work, but it is a historic moment for our country.

I can see clearly now

January 19-
A fresh new pair of contacts! My eyes feel so much better after switching to a new pair.

Confession

January 18-
I have confession to make.... I spent the entire day in my warm fuzzy flannel PJ's.

Power Up

January 17-
I'm terrible about remembering to recharge all my electronic stuff. I always run them down until they're "dead" and then I have to plug them all in at once.

Daily Routine

January 16-
I've been using Clinique for over 20 years now. Just a little photo of the "famous" 3 step system.

Limited Edition

January 15-
This limited edition Haagen Daaz ice cream is sooo yummy! It is peppermint and chocolate swirled in white chocolate ice cream.

Getting Old

January 14-
Poor Nala, she's getting to be an old girl. She now has to have daily glucosamine supplements along with her doggie treats.

Working girls dinner

January 13-
Quick, cheap, and easy - Microwave frozen dinners can be a lifesaver for a single working gal!

Laundry Day

January 12-
Laundry Day. It's amazing how much laundry one person can accumulate over the course of a week. Work clothes, after work clothes, Pj's, towels, and sheets - it all adds up to at least four loads of laundry on my day off.

Overflow

January 11-
Well, the Yakima has spilled over the banks. It isn't as bad as the last time it flooded in '97 though - the main road though town (Van Giesen) is still open with the center two of the four lanes open.

New Quickutz toys!

January 10-
I love getting packages in the mail - the new quikutz goodies I ordered last week arrived. Yeah! These new dies are soooo cute! I am all set to make some new scrapbook/card projects!

January 5th through 9th

January 9-
Another Christmas gift - this matress topper is the best! I have been sleeping so good ever since adding it to my bed. It is like sinking into a cloud but yet with total support. I love it.

January 8-
Flood Watch! Statewide Washington has been experiencing crazy crazy weather this winter. In the past two weeks it has gone from single digit weather to temperatures in the 50's. This is not good - flooding is happening all over the State. This is the Yakima River just "down the road" from my house, a few more feet and it will begin to spill over the banks.
(I'm in no danger here though)

January 7-
I don't get the newspaper so every time there is a Michaels 40% coupon in the newspaper mom mails it to me!

January 6-
Another bit of Christmas 2008. This was one of my best Christmas presents. Mom got this ornament for me this year. I love the thoughtfulness of it - she saw something that really said "Dawn" to her and bought it for me.

January 5-
Wintery Mix, thats what they call it. Snow, covered by sleet, then freezing rain. Ick! I stayed inside all day today (my day off).
